After her studies in cinema and audiovisual at the Sorbonne, Ariane pursued her interest in photography, which led her to enter Gobelins, école de l'Image. Her work is informed by both her immediate environment and her own personal experience, giving rise to a distinctive perspective that is evident in her photographic and videos.
Her work is informed by a commitment to and sensitivity towards social issues, with a particular focus on the representation of women, the body and intimacy. In her primarily documentary practice, she challenges traditional boundaries by positioning the subject as a co-creator, equipping them with a level of visual narrative involvement commensurate with that of the photographer. This collaborative process gives rise to images that transcend the boundaries of mere testimony. While her work is frequently grounded in reality, it is enhanced by an artistic approach that fuses documentary spontaneity with more structured compositions. Ariane endeavors to narrate stories through her photographs, yet her primary objective is to convey messages and raise awareness.
